Even as a child I dreamed of having my own bakery. I had a distinct love for being in the kitchen baking homemade brownies, cakes and desserts. I grew up enjoying reading recipes rather than books. In 1985, I was on a flight back from Germany and had a carrot cake that inspired my first creation. The carrot cake cupcake I created was a must have at every holiday, party and gathering that I would attend. My family and friends (A.K.A, Research & Development) have enjoyed tasting my creations and are my best critics. After years of baking for my family, friends and colleagues, I decided it was finally time to launch "Baked By ZuZu".

When I am not baking, I enjoy volunteering for many different charities by donating my time and baked goods to help support their causes. A special cause that is near and dear to my heart is the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation. As a result of my family’s personal experiences, I have chosen to donate 10% of my proceeds to the UCP Foundation. Every time you eat a cupcake, you help the UCP Foundation. So eat up! Thank you for your support, and I hope you enjoy "Baked By ZuZu" desserts as much as I have enjoyed creating them for you!
